Who Could That Be At This Hour?

Who Could That Be At This Hour? By Lemony Snicket 258 Pages

The first of a new series, All The Wrong Questions, this is a typical Lemony Snicket-style book.  Chapters end in odd places, kids are amazingly self-sufficient, and many of the adults are evil or foolish.  A lot more fun than Misfortunate Events series, this book is told from the perspective of Lemony, when he was 12 years old.  He has earned himself in a spot in an elite group, and appears to be learning to be some sort of spy, although none of this is actually explained.  He is an apprentice and has a chaperone and they are embarking on a case to find a stolen statue.  However, Lemony suspects that the story is not as simple as it appears, and in trying to uncover the truth, he finds some friends and enemies along the way, along with a great deal of excitement.  Anyone who liked his first series will probably love this, as will most kids who like mystery and adventure type stories.
