Bubble World

Bubble World by Carol Snow       344 pages

Freesia’s world is perfect.  Every day her peacocks wake her up by singing one of her favorite pop tunes, her mother brings her breakfast, she goes to class which is usually something fun like fashion or nail care, and even the more borrifying classes like Spanglish immersion have scrummy treats.  Between classes there’s time for shopping and spa treatments and in the evenings there are dances or parties.  Yes, everything is pretty perfect until Freesia realizes that her life isn’t real.  I’s a virtual world, called Agalinas, and she’s been living in it for the past few years.  Because of a technical failure and other circumstances, Freesia has been forced back out into the real world, and she is trying everything she can to get back to her bubble world.  After all, Agalinas is superior to the real world.  Right?  A fun, light read, that deals with a kind of serious topic, most teen girls that enjoy lighter fiction will probably enjoy this story.
