The Archbishop in Andalusia

The Archbishop in Andalusia by Andrew M. Greeley 27 out of 272 pages

I absolutely LOVE Blackie Ryan, but try as I may, I cannot get past page 27 (and I've tried three times). There are simply too may characters introduced in too many pages (worse that War & Peace).
