Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore, 408 pages.

 Biff is just your ordinary first century Jew, with the exception that his best friend just happens to be the messiah. Lamb is the story of Jesus Christ, as told from the point of view of his best friend, and disciple Biff, who recounts the early years that the four other gospels seem to have missed as well as providing an eyewitness account of how the events of the other bibles played out. 
While trying to decide what to read next I decided to reread Lamb, which was the second book by Christopher Moore that I read, and the one that convinced me to read all of his other books. Moore's explanation of Jesus' missing years was well thought out and actually makes more sense than some pf the stuff that is actually in the bible. For anyone who loves a good laugh and enjoys speculative fiction then Lamb is a must read.
