Zac & Mia by A.J. Betts, 292 pages
Zac is stuck in a room, isolated after his bone marrow
transplant. He hopes that this will put
his cancer into remission and he can get out into the real word and see people
other than his mom. Then another young
person ends up on the ward, a girl, Mia.
Mia’s type of cancer should be easy to cure but Mia is angry all of the
time. She and Zac start sending notes to
each other and end up friends on Facebook but when Zac is released he and Mia
lose touch. Then they meet again, in a
really unexpected way. This was an
unusual but really good teen realistic romance story.
