Hippopotamister by John Patrick Green, 84 pages
Hippo and Red Panda live right next door in the zoo, which is
terribly run down, no one is running properly, and no one comes to visit.
When Red Panda leaves to live in the human world, Hippo thinks that his life
sounds fantastic and decides to try it too. Unfortunately, it seems that
the jobs Red Panda chooses for them are not as successful as they might have
hoped. This short graphic novel would be excellent for younger beginning
readers, especially those not quite ready for chapter books. I'm not a
big fan of graphic novels but I really liked this one and would definitely
recommend it.
