How To Lead A Life Of Crime by Kirsten Miller, 434 pages
Flick is the son of monster.
After Flick realizes that his father is responsible for his brother’s
death. He leaves home to live on the streets.
When he’s approached by the head of the exclusive Mandel Academy, he
thinks this is his father’s way to trick him into coming home. However, he soon realizes that his father and
Mandel aren’t friends and Mandel may be able to help him take his father down,
which has been Flick’s goal since his brother died. However, Flick also realizes quickly that the
Mandel Academy is really a school for kids who show an aptitude for crime. Flick is torn between his desire for revenge
against his father and his increasing desire to take down the Academy. This was a really good book, with enough
action and intrigue to satisfy most teens who like this sort of story.
