The Master Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg, 216 pages
This is the final book in this trilogy. Ceony is ready, after 2 years at her
apprenticeship, to take the magician’s test and become fully qualified. Unfortunately, although it is customary for
the apprentice’s mentor to administer the test, Emery has decided to allow
another magician to administer the test.
He’s afraid that, although they have kept their relationship appropriate
and quiet, someone may accuse them of favoritism if he administers the
test. Even worse, Emery and Ceony find
out that Saraj Prendi, a man who nearly killed her and Emery before, has
escaped. Despite reassurances, Ceony is
convinced that he plans to come after them and sets out to do something about
it. This was a great finale to the
trilogy and I’m looking forward to more books by this author.
