Clear the Clutter, Find Happiness: One Minute Tips for Decluittering and Refreshing Your Home and Your Life by Donna Smallin Paperback: 288 pages
Great book! So many inspiring ideas here. I always enjoy reading books on clutter clearing. There will always be gems of knowledge and new ways to do things found within the pages. Definetly so here. It is a quick read and so many good tips and motivational sayings. It is almost like affirmations - the quick witty ideas it holds on many of the pages. You will want to post some of the quotes found here. It is a feel good book and one of those that is such a fun read with so much great ideas that you won’t want to put it down. Probably the most user-friendly book on clutter clearing I have read to date. I highly recommend it. It points out timesavers and tells you quicker ways to accomplish some tasks, it offers solid ideas on how to fill in time while waiting for something to cook, while you are waiting to be seen at a doctor’s office, things you can do daily, things you can do in 10 minutes, and thoughts on where to place things in your home for easier access such as leave a dust cloth behind books on a shelf for quick dusting next time, or keep a hamper by where family members undress to be sure they put their clothes in it rather than piled up on the floor, keep a caddy with all the cleaners and tools (scrub brush, old toothbrush, sponges, etc.) that you need for the bathroom in the bathroom, same with the other rooms, anything specific to cleaning that room keep in an out of the way cubby somewhere within the room so that when its time to clean your tools are right there at hand you don’t have to go look for them. Remember, today’s purchase, especially an unplanned one can become tomorrow’s clutter if you don’t have a place for it in mind. I truly enjoyed the fun way Donna Smallin presented her ideas to the reader. And this gal has great ideas. A must read whether you are a clutter or not, it is a goldmine of ideas.
