Cody is ready for summer vacation even if she is going to be stuck in camp all day long.  When camp falls through, summer brightens up considerably.  Cody makes a new friend, Spencer, whose grandmother owns a cat!  Cody's brother Wyatt has a crush on Payton and now Payton is going to be babysitting Cody!  Cody's mom is getting a promotion at work!  So many exciting things are happening that Cody can barely keep up.  But sometimes, when everything seems to be going well, disaster can strike.  This was a great read for middle elementary.  I really liked it, especially considering the simplistic nature of the story.  I thought it was well done and a fun story.
