How To Fall In Love With A Man Who Lives In A Bush by Emmy Abrahamson Audio Book: 6 hours, 5 mins. Paperback Book: 256 pages
Such a fun story. I really liked it. Swedish woman, Julia is living in Vienna and teaching English to the Austrians who come to the agency she works for. She is slightly lonely though she does have a cat at home and a sometimes friend she hangs out with to get drunk. Her classes and clientele are amusing on their own but then this 6’5” homeless guy comes into her life. He is very comfortable with his homeless state and has actually had a very interesting life living abroad and showering at hostels along his journeys. He likes Vienna so he currently lives under a bush in a park there. It is a very funny, cool story with Julia ending up falling for this worldly wise homeless guy that with his beard reminds her a little of the paintings of Jesus. He has kind eyes. She finds herself falling for him, and meeting him time and again finally going out then she tells him it is a little hard to get past his smell to which he asks, “I smell?” He was used to it and didn’t even realize anymore. So, the next time she sees him he has gone somewhere and bathed and has less dirty looking clothes on. They become an item though for a time even though he knows where she works she asks him to meet her down the street at a Starbucks. Naturally while they are together different times they run into people she knows and while at first it gets to her, she finally lets it bother her less until when asked where he lives he tells people under a bush. It is so funny the way this story is told. But it is a very endearing story and a lovely diverse tale of love really happening anywhere. Reader, you will never look at a homeless person the same way again. Beautiful story, I thoroughly enjoyed it. They are so fun together.
