The second book of the Tearling series goes into more detail about how the creation of the Tearling Kingdom happened through a series of flashbacks as it's Queen Kelsea Glynn channels a woman called Lily who came from Earth sometime in our future. At the same time Kelsea must struggle to find a way to save her kingdom as the Mort army advances on the capital city and threatens to wipe out everyone.
A fantasy novel with strong characterization, I enjoyed this book very much. It is due out in June of this year.
