Princess Celie with her brother and sister, Rolf and Lilah,
their friend Pogue and the Crown Prince of Grath, Lulath, have found themselves
transported by the castle. Unsure where
they are and uncertain on how to get home, the group meet some very interesting
characters who tell them some very interesting, but somewhat conflicting,
stories about the origin of the castle.
However, even more interesting is the fact that there seem to be
griffins everywhere, including two griffins who Celie realizes are Rufus’s
parents. Celie is certain that if they
use their wits they can overcome all of the obstacles and figure out how to
return to their home with the griffins and perhaps even some griffin eggs so
that they can restore their kingdom to the way it always was supposed to
be. This is a fun, light fantasy series
for younger readers.
