Revenge Of Superstition Mountain by Elise Broach, 294 pages
This is the third and final book in this trilogy. It was a very satisfying conclusion, in my
opinion. The boys, Simon, Henry and
Jake, with their friend Delilah, are still trying to find a way to get to the
treasure. Unfortunately, the mine’s
entrance was completely covered by the avalanche. However, there is a legend regarding some
gold that was taken from the mine a long time ago. It was stolen from the deathbed of the person
who had it and since then it has gone missing.
If the boys could discover that gold, they would be rich! However, they have also discovered that
anyone who takes gold directly from the mine is cursed and will die. Jake still has the gold flakes that he took
from the mine and the only way to break the curse is to return the gold. Can they return it before Jake runs out of
time? An excellent series for younger
readers, kids who like mysteries and ghost stories will enjoy it.
