No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Not Popular!, Vol. 1 by Nico Tanigawa 136 pages
Tomoko Juroki is about to enter high school and become as popular she deserves. Unfortunately, it turns out her experience playing dating sims doesn’t translate well when it comes to interacting with actual humans.
Funny, but recommended if and only if you have a high tolerance for cringe comedy. Tomoko’s problems are almost entirely her fault, and her social anxieties wouldn’t be nearly as crippling if she weren’t also such a misanthrope. For readers who can bear it, there’s almost a hopeful edge to Tomoko’s despair—your high school experience might have been rough, but at least it never got this bad.
