Don't Call Me Princess: Essays on Girls, Women, Sex, and Life by Peggy Orenstein 400 pages
This collection of essays by Peggy Orenstein covers about three decades of her writing. Her essays are sometimes funny, but she has some sharp observations about girls' and women's progress (or lack thereof). She writes about miscarriage and motherhood, sex, breast cancer, and the princess culture. While I didn't absolutely love each essay, there were some I had read before and enjoyed and I also discovered some new essays. I appreciate that while I may not agree with everything Orenstein writes, she's pretty much on point with my thinking on a lot of things.
