Meet Me at Emotional Baggage Claim by Lisa Scottoline and Francesca Serritella AudioBook: 5 hours, 29 minutes Paperback Book: 304 pages
What a fun group of females! Lisa, Francesca and Mother Mary. Confident women who speak their minds, who you can rightly guess use a lot saltier language outside their books – language is expressive and as a wise lady once said, cussing expressives everything. They even joke about it themselves. The bond between these ladies is palpable through their words, their stories and their complete adoration and love for one another. Mother Mary set the pace and she is a hard act to follow but I think Lisa and Francesca do pretty well in keeping it real and sharing the love and snarky but so funny observations on life. They have managed to find the happy balance between staying close holding tight on their bonds even though they all live in different places (Mother Mary in Florida with Lisa’s brother, Lisa in Pennsylvania with her menagerie of animals and Francesca in New York City with her fur baby, Lisa’s granddog, Pip. Though miles between they hold strong to the bonds that hold each dear to the other. Never shy with their opinions and thank God for cellphones with cameras they can coach each other on their dates, “You are not seriously planning on wearing that are you?” To, “I don’t care if it is 60 degrees out – take a coat with you!” So fun, every story out of any of their experiences is noteworthy. These gals could seriously have a stand-up comedy act if they ever chose to go that route. Excellent Book! I highly recommend every humor title these gals have written. Sometimes you will shocked at the places they go and the things they talk about, but, it is so funny and so illuminating – honestly, I have learned a thing or two from them because NO SUBJECT IS OFF LIMITS! Treat yourself and read any or all of the books they have written together, you will honestly be glad you did.
