How To Fall by Jane Casey, 343 pages
Jess’s cousin Freya died under
mysterious circumstances a year ago. Her
death was ruled accidental, but there is plenty of speculation that she either
committed suicide. Jess, who is meeting
her cousins for the first time, is unconvinced that Freya could have been
murdered. Jess has been asking questions
around town and several people seem unhappy about it but Jess is determined to
uncover the truth. This book felt like
it should have been scarier than it was, but it still was an interesting
story. The mystery was good, but I think
the author kind of intended it to be a thriller and I’m not sure that part
worked. I would recommend it to teens
who like mysteries.
