Wraith by Joe Hill, 204 pages
Having just come off 20th Century Ghosts, which I didn't care for, I was hoping for a Hill novel that would bring out the excitement and dread that Hill does so well. Wraith did not disappoint. Those that liked NOS4A2 will also enjoy this. Featuring the same protagonist Charlie Manx we get to look deeper into who he is. We also get so see how Christmastown came to be, how Manx came about owning the Wraith and what made him who he is.
Wraith is filled with bloody brutal murders and some, at times, sickening transformations. But that is what really adds to the horror that is Joe Hill. There are some somewhat adult themes and intense graphics so mature teenagers and up would probably be best.
Oh, cool! Didn't know about this before now.
