A good book it is the true life story of Nada Bakos who grew up in Montana and moved to Washington D.C. to join the CIA. In her work as an analyst she and her team tracked Abu Musab al-Zarqawi from his terrorist activities with Osama Ben Laden to his death at the hands of American Special Ops. She takes you through the academy at Langley all the way to her stint on the ground with troops in Iraq to get a better understanding of the people and the situations being dealt with. She takes you deep inside the inner workings of the CIA and how they go about getting into the head of the terrorists, how the seemingly invisible can be located, really interesting stuff to be learned here. I would certainly recommend this one - very illuminating.
This blog is the home of the St. Louis Public Library team for the Missouri Book Challenge.
