Well, That Was Awkward by Rachel Vail, 314 pages
“There are unexpected consequences when
thirteen-year-old Gracie sends texts pretending to be her bashful best friend,
Sienna, and their friend Emmett starts texting back pretending to be shy A.J.” Vail’s books manage to be serious and
light-hearted at the same time. She deals
with issues that are very real for the age group but manages to not make them
dark. I would highly recommend her books
for kids who like realistic fiction.
