Allison Darling grew up as a foster child and only remembers vague things about her mother and early childhood. Now living in Monrovia where a cadre of stepford-like wives known as the Glamour girls run the town, Allison longs to be as successful and put together as the members of the group. This is what Allison’s wanted her whole life—to be
liked. To be popular. To belong. Things start to go wrong at the fair where Allison finds she is able to change things merely by wishing hard enough. She starts to remember simple rhymes from her mother who is institutionalized . When Allison's mother dies, she comes into her witchy powers and will have to decide whether to use her powers to be one of the girls or to protect her family from a dark force.
A nice lite read, I enjoyed this book.
