Savage Drift, by Emmy Laybourne, 306 pages
In the final book of the Monument 14 trilogy, most of the kids have found themselves in a safe place in Canada. But Josie is trapped in a Missouri prison for Type O's, Astrid is convinced the military has an unhealthy interest in her pregnancy, and Dean and Jake cannot stop fighting over Astrid's affections. So another road trip begins. It's always nice to see an end to a trilogy that sort of feels like it could have ended at least one book ago, but this one felt way too tidy for my tastes. This is a good read-alike for fans of post-apocalyptic fiction, though, especially if you like Mike Mullin's Ashfall series.
