Legion by Brandon Sanderson, 87 pages
Stephen Leeds isn’t crazy.
He’s well aware that the people surrounding him are hallucinations. Nevertheless, these aspects are brilliant,
experts in very specific fields and often help Stephen help other people. Most people who petition Stephen for help are
just looking for a story but some are genuine and a few Stephen even agrees to
help. When a woman, Monica, shows up
with photographs that were taken of people and things that existed before
photography, she offers him a chance to find someone who has been missing for
ten years. The photographs were taken by
a camera that takes pictures of the past.
The camera has been stolen and Monica is trying to recover it. This is a good short novella. The story is compelling and although it’s a
little complicated, the set-up is quick and clear. Fantasy fans will enjoy this story.
