This is a collection of twelve holiday stories by young
adult authors. Not all of the stories
are about Christmas. A couple are about
Hanukkah and at least one is about New Year’s Eve, but all center around the
winter holidays. There is a story about
a boy who dresses up like Santa Claus to help convince his boyfriend’s younger
sister that Santa is real and a story about a girl who thinks she’s looking for
a voice to use in her film and ends up with a Christmas tree and the chance to
regain her home and family. There are a
couple of stories that are more like fairy tales and one that is actually kind
of scary, but all of the stories end up being romances, one way or
another. I actually liked every story in
this compilation, which is kind of unusual.
There is usually one or two that I don’t care for but I found something
appealing in every story and really loved almost all of them. For teens that like romance stories, this
would be a great collection to give them.
