Zoo the graphic novel by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge, 208 pages
So basically the plot is, through humanities use of various modern comforts the animals of the world are being triggered to attack people. Some of this behavior was predicted by a scientist named Jackson Oz but he was written off as a mad man, or conspiracy nut. Of course everyone starts coming around when people start dying after being attacked by armies of rats, or dogs.
I am not sure if this book is supposed to be a warning to curb our consumerism or just an interesting horror story based off extrapolated current habits. But either way I truly enjoyed it and added the original novel to my to read list. It seems like their should be a volume two as humanity as a whole is sort of left hanging...
I would caution that some of the panels in this graphic novel were pretty graphic and or could be traumatizing to kids (pets attacking them etc.) so I rate it a PG-13.
