Amphigorey by
Edward Gorey, 212 pages
This book and everything by Gorey was recommended by the
Literature, Entertainment and Biography staff after I came across the word
“ennui” in my readings. The book is a collection of short stories or pictures
that sometimes convey a message or plot and other times not. To call it weird
would be an understatement as Gorey not only makes up words but he also conveys
some dreadful thoughts. I frequently found myself pausing and thinking “What
did I just read” before moving on.
