Starglass by Phoebe North, 439 pages
I really liked this book up until the end. This was a really good story about a girl named Terra, who is a colonist, heading for a new planet. She is the fourth generation to be born on the ship and now that she is 16, the ship is scheduled to arrive at their new world, Zehava. However, there is a rebellious group aboard, who are afraid that the leaders want to keep them on the ship and believe that the rules are too strict. They want more freedom, freedom to choose their own professions and who they will love and marry. The problem with the ending is that it felt rushed and forced and wasn’t very clear. I left the book feeling a little confused, rather than satisfied. The rest of the book was actually very well written, so teen fans of science fiction would probably still like this book.
