Starry Nights by Daisy Whitney, 229 pages
This was a teen romance that had some unusual elements. Julien leads tours at an art museum after school, the same museum for which his mother is a curator, so he often spends time there after hours. However, something odd is going on. People and objects have started coming out of their paintings at night but Julien is the only one who seems to notice. Until the museum acquires a special painting, The Girl In The Garden. The girl also comes out of her painting and introduces herself as Clio. Julien and Clio start to fall in love. Soon after, other people start noticing that something isn’t right with some of the paintings, not just in their museum, but in paintings in museums throughout the world and it’s up to Julien and Clio to fix it. However, fixing the paintings could mean losing each other. A fun little fantasy romance, I would recommend it to teen romance fans and possibly art lovers. The fantasy is pretty light so I’m not sure that every fantasy lover would enjoy this book.
