Monsters by Ilsa Bick, 680 pages
Third and final book in the Ashes trilogy, this series is better read in order. Alex, Tom and Ellie still hope to be reunited, although none are even sure that the others are alive. Alex is worried that she is becoming one of the Changed and for some reason, seems to be attracted to Wolf, who is one of the Changed. The point of view in the story switches between these three, Chris, and Peter, making the story a little confusing at times, but plenty of action means there is never a boring moment.
