Ruby Pepperdine has always been centered, the one who does what she’s supposed to do, and has been surrounded by the love of her family, especially her grandmother, Gigi. Since Gigi died, nothing feels centered for Ruby, although all of her friends and family act like everything is fine. However, Ruby has made a wish and hopes that when she presents her winning essay during the Bunning Day parade that wish will fix all of the problems she’s been having in the last few months.
