Once Upon The End by James Riley, 373 pages
This is the third and final book in the series that starts with Half Upon A Time. I found the series a little confusing, actually. The story itself was pretty good but by the time this book starts all of the main characters have separated so we are following each of their stories individually and switching between them. Jack has apparently joined the Evil Queen and is now an Eye, a knight who has pledged his loyalty to her. May and Phillip are also separated because Phillip has left to try to save his kingdom from the giants. May is being held by the Queen, who is trying to get May to agree to be her heir. The series wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t rush to put it into the hands of kids, necessarily. Fans of fantasy would probably enjoy it if they were running out of other choices. I would definitely read these in order.
