I have not read the first volume but I did follow TMNT when
I was a kid, so I wasn’t completely lost reading this story. This volume tells the story of who the
turtles and Master Splinter were in their previous lives and also brings some
other characters together. It
reintroduces some enemies as well, and leads us to new possible enemies who are
killing strangers that say mysterious things about war coming. Even
though the original concept was a little hokey, it worked and this graphic
novel keeps up the tradition. People who
like the format and topic will enjoy this book.
