The Singing Bones by Shaun Tan, 185 pages
This is a compilation of sculptures, done by Tan, to illustrate
several of Grimm's fairy tales. Each tale just uses an excerpt of the
story paired with a photo of the sculpture. The sculptures are sometimes
strange but always seemed fitting. Overall, I thought it was well
done. This is also in adult non-fiction but could have some teen appeal
since some of Tan's work has been for teens. Adults who like fairy tales
will like this book as will fans of tan's other books.
