Invisibility

Invisibility by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan           Audio Book:  9 hours, 40 mnis         Paperback Book: 384 pages

If you have read the book, “Everyday,”by David Levithan you will find a similar storyline and feel to this book.    Instead of waking up to be a different person everyday, the main character was born invisible due to a curse.   It mixes modern day set in New York City and a group of characters who have to take on way more than they bargained for, some becoming casualties along the way.   What do a witch, a family from Minnesota and an invisible motherless boy have in common?   LOTS!   It is an interesting premise and I could see this one becoming a film very easily.   The story is told so similarly to and the characters align very closely to Levithan’s other story, with a few twists.    It gives interesting dilemmas for the main characters and being allowed in to the thought processes of said characters, the reader can be drawn in and lots of discussion could ensue regarding how the reader might handle the same situations.    It makes you think.   It is an interesting story and Levithan’s way with dialogue enriches his characters.   There are a lot of questions unanswered here, but, all in all it is a good story that will keep you wanting to find out what happens next.   I smell a sequel as the story’s ending seems to beg to continue with the new enlightenments all around, where will the path lead for these folks?    It leaves the reader wanting more.   Well written, well done, and maybe those unanswered questions will be revealed in future adventures of this group.   They are all very likeable in their quirky but endearing ways and so much more can be said for and by all of them.   Knock, Knock, Ms. Cremer and Mr. Levithan, you have another winner here, can you expand upon it?
