House Of Secrets by Chris Columbus & Ned Vizzin

House Of Secrets by Chris Columbus & Ned Vizzini           490 pages

Cordelia, Brendan, and Eleanor and their parents have just moved into a gorgeous new house.  They had to move because of an unfortunate incident with their father’s job.  The surprising part is that they could afford this particular house, which is large, conveniently located and in good shape.  However, as soon as they move in, odd things start happening.  In fact the neighbor shows up and starts a storm in their living room that apparently takes the house to a new location, possibly a new world.  The biggest problem is that the kids are alone.  They have no idea where their parents are or how to get home or how to deal with the hostile knights that soon show up.  This was an action packed fantasy book for elementary readers.  I thought it was a lot of fun and would definitely recommend it to later elementary or early middle school age kids.
