Revenge Of A Not-So-Pretty Girl by Carolita Blythe 319 pages
Faye and a couple of her friends like making problems for
the “pretty” girls. The girls who think
they are better than everyone else, who are always dressed like fashion plates,
who have perfect hair and skin and teeth.
They beat them up a little and take their cash. After all, they deserve it for the way they
treat other people. But now Caroline has
come up with a more lucrative scheme.
One of her friends says an old actress lives in their building and
Caroline figures that the can rob her.
They are able to trick the woman into letting them inside but once
there, they can’t find much money and then Faye accidentally knocks the woman
down, causing her to hit her head. The
girls ran, but now Faye is worried that the woman died. If she goes back to check she might be caught
but if she doesn’t go back to try to help, she’ll have to live with the guilt
for the rest of her life. This was more
of a coming of age story than anything, but a very good one that lots of teen
girls would like.
