Zom-B Angels by Darren Shan, 182 pages
This book continues the Zom-B series. Becky, known as B, has found a haven of sorts, with Dr. Oystein and his band of Angels. He helps heal her of some of her wounds, and even the huge hole where her heart was torn out has improved in appearance. B is ready to help Dr. Oystein and go out on missions to search for people who are still living, food, or enemies. This book answers some questions and addresses some concerns that were raised in previous books. Although it is possible to start in the middle, this is a series better read from the beginning. As zombie books go, I wouldn’t say that this is the best, but it is somewhat entertaining. The books are fairly short and fairly easy to read so might appeal to teen reluctant readers who like the zombie genre. Other readers might find that there isn’t much character development so the stories fall a little flat sometimes.
