The Sandman, vol. 4: Season of Mists by Neil Gaiman, 217 pages
Carrying on with The Sandman, this volume combines comic book issues 21-27, wherein Dream/Morpheus/The Sandman is convinced by his endless siblings (Destiny, Death, Desire, Despair, and Delerium) to release a lover from hell, where he sent her 10,000 years ago after she refused his marriage proposal. Once again, this quest doesn't turn out exactly how he anticipated, and Dream ends up meeting with the gods of various mythologies and realms.
The art in this series hasn't been fantastic so far (though I've heard it gets better), and there are a few poorly-realized characters here that really stand out. We also spend less time with Dream than in past storylines (or at least it seems that way), so this particular volume was a little bit of a letdown after the past few. (It should be noted that The Absolute Sandman, the last Sandman book I blogged about, comprises the first three collected Sandman volumes.) Here's hoping the next one is a bit better.
