The fourth book in the Gone series still has the group of
under 15 year olds trapped inside the area they have come to call the
FAYZ. They have set up a council, headed
by Astrid, girl genius, but the council hasn’t made much headway in changing
anything. Meanwhile, food and other
supplies are running out, Zil and his Human Crew are still lobbying for
elimination of “freaks”, as they call the kids who have gained special powers,
and it looks like some of the kids who have died are coming back to life. Also, a girl named Orsay is claiming to be
able to enter the dreams of the adults outside the FAYZ and that the kids
should all let go on their 15th birthday because that will send them
outside the FAYZ back to their parents.
Sam is the one the kids are used to following, but Sam is feeling
useless because Astrid and the rest of the council insist on having rules
instead of letting him take care of some of the problems. Can they pull together and fix some of the
issues before everything is destroyed?
Definitely a series that should be read in order, this is a nice
addition to the series and fans of the series will definitely enjoy it. Teens that like fantasy or dystopian novels
would probably like the series.
