On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, by Ian Fleming, 299 pages
Finally getting back to Mr. Flemings books! Despite my
interest in this series, this book was more of a slog to get through than most
of his other ones. It takes close to one hundred and seventy pages for Bond to
be involved in any sorts of action that is expected from these spy novels. At
one point Bond himself gets so bored with his current assignment that he writes
a retirement letter!
The ending was very… unique, and was definitely a twist I
only partially saw coming. If you want to know what it was READ THE BOOK, or
come find me and ask.
