The End Games by T. Michael Martin, 369 pages
The world came to an end on Halloween. Michael and Patrick have survived because they were running away that night but now 17-year-old Michael is trying to protect his 5-year-old brother both from the monsters and from his own mind. He has convinced Patrick that the monsters surrounding them are a game, like the video games they play together. Michael has heard on the radio that there are safe zones. His goal is to get himself and Patrick there and hopes that they will find their mother there too. A great zombie adventure story that has just a hint of romance in it and really good character development, many teens will like this book.
