Sandman: Endless Nights by Neil Gaiman, 150 pages
Created and published seven years after the end of The Sandman comics, Endless Nights is a collection of vignettes about each of the Endless. Each is illustrated by a different artist, ranging in style from traditional comics panels to collage. Particularly striking are the stories about Delirium (which is, like Delirium herself, pretty hard to follow) and Despair (which is a series of 15 portraits of despair). These are good little short stories and poems, perfectly illustrated for each of the Endless. If you haven't read Sandman, feel free to start here to get a bit of an introduction to Dream and his siblings. If you have read Sandman, check this one out for a bit of a visit from old friends.
