This graphic novel is set in a near future America where the government has seized control of all the media and a police state has basically evolved to control all aspects of society. A few individuals are trying to act against this oppression but have limited success due to the apathy of the general public.
The artwork is very dark and heavy, black and white illustrations and the series was originally issued in the 90's and is very much influenced by the grunge, anti-mainstream of that generation . I could see how the series would also resonate with the Occupy Wall street crowd. The problem is the narrative is one dimensional and you really don't connect with any of the characters and their angry rants.
