The Sandman, vol. 6: Fables and Reflections by Neil Gaiman, 263 pages
This volume is Gaiman's graphic novel equivalent of a short story collection. Taken from various points in the Sandman comic book series, these stories offer short forays into myth and history, featuring everyone from Marco Polo to Augustus Caesar to Orpheus to Eve, Cain, and Abel (the last three swapping stories for a baby). Throughout, we find out a little more about Morpheus, especially in Gaiman's retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice. Orpheus, as Morpheus' son, has been featured before in this series, and will almost certainly appear again.
This was a nice collection of tales, though I'm a bigger fan of longer continuous stories. No complaints though.
